Some of us should find a good coop game or something. I've barely played anything with any of you guys, at least I haven't for a while. So I'm looking through my library when I realize the only co-op games I own are Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. Know any other good ones?

I don't see anything other than L4D in my library either. I guess maybe CS could be considered coop if you have a team. I know SC2 and Diablo 3 have decent coop modes, and BFBC2 is still kicking on PC (I think) but I don't know how many of you guys have them. DayZ?

I just tried Steam music for the first time. Wrecking demons in Shadow Warrior is so much better when you've got "It's a Beautiful Day" by Michael Buble playing over it.

Is this available to everyone? I just updated Steam. The little icon changed, which is the only thing I've noticed. I think I skipped the update details...

I was in the beta though, so maybe not, but I thought this update added it for everyone. Go to the "Library" drop down thing, and if it says "music" as the 4th or 5th option then click it. Queue some songs up and then shift+tab during a game and click on "music" at the bottom of the overlay. A little music player will pop up and you can play the songs you queued. Just looked it up and apparently it's in open beta, so I'd assume it was a part of that update or a prior one.

Nosgoth is pretty fun, my steam if anyone wants to play with me ;( steamcommunity.com/id/BladesfistI have bought a Swift, it is out of stock though so could be a month till I see it, which I don't mind to much as it gives me time to buy a GTX 880 and Nvidia 3D glasses. Bring it on!

You guys think an 870 or 880 will be suitable for most games on high, 1440p and 60 frames?

Do any of you play DOTA 2 or CSGO? I want to get into both of them, but it seems intimidating to play alone, mostly because the community can be a bit rough around the edges. You guys think an 870 or 880 will be suitable for most games on high, 1440p and 60 frames? I would think so. The 880 is going to be a beast.

Might just start with bot matches to get a feel for it though.

I play TitanFall still, although I haven't in some time. I've heard Marked for Death is awesome, so I'll probably check that out sometime next week. duplissi: Gamma shifting on the Swift in particular is bad when it comes to vertical viewing angles. The horizontal viewing angle is actually pretty respectable in this regard. I haven't heard much at all about FreeSync since AMD first mentioned it some time ago, what is even happening with that? EDIT: Hm, after looking into it and thinking about it, I don't really know what the 'optimal' 4K monitor would be, and what aspect ratio I'd even want to look into. 21:9 poses space issues, and another concern is I think I'll be forced to do 880 SLI to even use two DisplayPort connections (correct me if I'm wrong here). But I'm not opposed to this. I really don't know what my "movie" monitor, which I'm not planning to get anytime too soon after the Swift, will be. Probably will have to make some decisions regarding this no sooner than half a year from now. Freesync does the same thing that Gsync does. Amd claims that it has reduced overhead over gsync because there is no handshake between the monitor and the gpu. With Gysnc the monitor says "Hey do you have a frame?" Gpu says "No" Then the current frame stays displayed. If the monitor says "hey do you have a frame?" and the gpu says "Yes, let me send it to you". This process happens for every frame. Granted it is like 1 or 2 ms. With freesync the monitor waits for the gpu to send frames, and displays them as soon as recieved, there is no handshake as the monitor tells the gpu what its capabilities are at the initial plug in. Now since it is still a few months before the catalyst update and for display port 1.2a monitors are out we cant compare them yet. But any monitor that has Display port 1.2a and up will support freesync, as freesync is an implementation of Adaptive sync which is a standard that is now part of display port. Thats what I know thus far. We shall see.

G-sync has definitely proven itself so far. bladesfist still not available in Canada/US...ugh. Also I've played Nosgoth a bit, it's pretty fun - really, really like the Sentinel class. I just wish they'd make an actual Legacy of Kain sequel or reboot, though... MidnytRain 880 will handle 1440/60 just fine if it is 780 Ti level or higher, as is expected. I think the 870, assuming it's at least a 3GB card, will be fine too at "High" settings for most games. But we can't really know until we get some real specs or benchmarks. It is out of stock here so I won't be seeing mine any time soon.

Any of you guys played The Forest? It looks excellent, but I keep hearing that it was really buggy and there wasn't much to do when it came out. I don't know how much has changed since then though.
Oh, and I'm going to be playing on Steam probably all day today once I get home. Message me if you want to play something (L4D, CSGO, Dota2, DayZ, etc). I'm not sure what I'll be playing anyways, but we can figure something out.

Do any of you guys buy Steam games through key trading? People on Gaf are talking me through it, and I'm shocked that more people don't do it. It saves a ton of money.

Just got a $50 steam card in the mail so I might be in the market again soon. I always use www.reddit.com/r/SteamGameSwap/ when I do.
