I'm Francis and it's my first post here on n4g. I want to share the word for an upcoming game currently developed by J Todd Coleman (Shadowbane, Wizard101), Gordon Walton (Ultima Online, Star Wars: the Old Republic, Star Wars Galaxy) with the collaboration of Raph Koster (Star Wars Galaxy, Everquest II, Ultima Online). The game is a mix between MMORPG and strategy game. It's PvP (action combat) and Crafting (player driven economy) oriented. From what I've understood, players enter the game and select a type of World : 3-Factions war (order, chaos and balance), 12 factions war (allegiances to one of the 12 Gods), Guilds vs. Guilds and FFA. Each of those worlds last for 1 month to 1 year. Victory conditions and other rules are different from one world to the other. All those worlds are ephemeral. Player's characters are persistent and will progress through a complex system of character advancement. Eternal Kingdoms are the permanent worlds and they're owned and managed by players (buildings, markets, guilds, taxes, fealty tree, sieges, crafting, etc.) It features destructible environment and worlds (VoxelFarm), physics (gravity, inertia, collision, etc.), procedurally generated terrains, Unity 5 engine. update: Here's a video showing Siege Perilous, the current Pre-Alpha testing environment. Performances and graphics will improve! =)

Edit: Alpha access is kinda expensive, but open beta (free tests) are scheduled for this winter - requiring only registration on the site. Also, this is how building one's personal kingdom, via procedural terrain generator, looks like - it is like playint tetris!?! Another good Crowfall intro (with lots of updates to the OP and pictures) is it's IGN Wiki. Shortly, the game meantime accumulated 120 000 registered followers, it's total budget just broke $7M, the development team grew up to 25 members and players are already, since August, pre-alpha testing combat. This is impressive speed of development, having in mind that Kickstarter campaign ended in late March this year. There is no non-disclosure agreement (which is extremely unusual for so early phase of development) so streams and records of pre-alpha sessions are already available. Of course, the footage is still quite rough, including only five (out of thirteen) archetypes with only partial skills and small number of players (~60) fighting on small test maps. Some pre-alpha footage, starting with voxel destruction aka "Death in the Rubble":
...then, noob girl playing with fire and couple Centaurs: ...and some Ranger PvP with comments:
PS Feel free to ask anything you want to know, including info about the potential downsides. For what it's worth, I tried to summarize these in this MMORPG.com post. Some enlisted remarks are legit concerns, some are based on ignorance or bias and OFC I can elaborate on any of them if need be.

Crowfall was just voted for " The most anticipated MMO" on MMORPG.com. Also, ArtCraft Entertainment just announced destruction, sieges and captures as the core of next (February) wave of tests. Bad news is that the highly anticipated client-side control, expected to noticeably improve the responsiveness and fluidity of combat (currently 100% server-controlled) will not make it into current (December) series of tests, but to "compensate" - ACE will make a series of additional, Snap Tests in January with client-side control implemented.

Well the siege mechanics test has started later than initially expected! The first testers got invited late March, but it was worth the wait I guess, the map is really beautiful, some great wall destruction with lot of rubble, catapults, large team... There are some videos already on Youtube.

Couple recent player made videos - starting with TheLazyPeon's alpha test preview (you can skip the first ~100 seconds, that's where he explains the game to his subscribers):
...then some combat footage by ItsZiz:
...and this is what you get by mixing Van Helsing with guinea pig (!) and giving it stealth:
