Is the Xbox brand going to be at the forefront of gaming in coming years considering what they're doing? Especially as Xbox live grows and mcsft are investing a lot in Xbox
Which brand will be the future of console gaming?

Don't know yet. We have to see how their strategy plays out first. Microsoft seems to want to have every Win10 games on all their platforms (PC, Surface, MS Phone, XBox One, etc...). Developers probably want this as well, especially if they game gets purchased on 2-3 platforms. We still have to see how this will be initiated though. It could be good or bad depending on how MS handles it.

PC master race for life
TBH consoles have always been big but in terms of gaming getting larger esports seems to be the driving force to growth and its heavily PC based in LOL/Dota/CS

Don't see much change for the Xbox brand moving forward. Microsoft is investing the same in Xbox live as they have in the past, not any change in that.

Xbox Live moved consoles to where they are today. Otherwise, it would have been very stale by now. Sony would have been happy just launching console after console with generic games. Xbox, innovated and advanced the console eco-sphere to where it is today. Now I know that will go against the grain here, but its true. Yes, MS seriously went off course, but has done much to improve.

Xbox is definitely not the forefront of gaming. Sega will be the future of gaming when they rise from the dead. However I think Sony can take a page out of their book and follow their model on Backwards Compatibility. I appreciate the fact that any BC games I bought on 360 I can download them onto the Xbox One at no cost. Also it's great that if you have the disc you can just insert it into the console and you're good to go.
I still use my 60GB PS3 to this day because of the fact it's fully BC with their previous consoles.
