Hi, I've been a member on N4G for years now, though this is the first time I've signed up for a forum account. I tried to log in to my N4G account, but it turns out I've been banned, for reasons unknown. It's not as though it's the end of the world or anything as posting on N4G is a bad habit I've been meaning to kick, but it's not as though I've posted anything offensive or anything. So, I'm kind of wanting to get to the bottom of why I was banned, if at all possible. Sorry if this is not the right board to post in, but would anyone happen to know how I'd go about finding out that information?
Ok, I guess this forum will not at all be helpful for getting information. I created a second account and it also got banned for no reason. It seems the logical conclusion is that this site is a complete waste of my time. I suppose I should have come to that conclusion years ago. Heck, I even came across a site that's objectively better in every way besides user-base: gameondaily.com/
Bruh, this other site makes N4G look archaic. The preview and comments section is just a popup that can easily be clicked out of, as opposed to being its own page, thus making it quicker and easier to browse articles. I've seen people posting gifs, which I've never seen on N4G. The avatar system is a lot more sleek, and I was even able to set a background pic for my profile. I was reminded that upon signing up for a N4G account, there's a process before you're able to change your user settings. Not so on this other site. Heck, I could post articles right away too if I wanted too. That ship has long since sailed for me, but it's good to know that's an option.
I think the only reason N4G isn't regarded as a joke is because it does have a much larger userbase, and consequently, more news gets posted here. But, that other site gets a decent amount of news too, and maybe it will continue to grow as time marches on. Well, if I can't get answers then I'm best off just forgetting about N4G. I don't think I want to be associated any longer with one that would treat a longtime member so poorly anyways.
